Access and registration

The Academy of architecture Library is a public library, part of the Università della Svizzera italiana (USI).

  • Access to the library and its reading rooms is free for all users, even if not affiliated to USI. Fee-based services are limited to requests for documents owned by other libraries. Fees vary according to the user types.

  • Bibliographic searches are performed via Reperio, the USI portal curated by the Academy of architecture Library.

  • Reperio also allows searching the collections of over 470 Swiss academic libraries in swisscovery, the new search platform managed by SLSP (Swiss Library Service Platform).

  • swisscovery brings together a major collection of scientific information from Switzerland: over 30 millionbooks and journals, and more than 3 billion electronic articles.
Access
To profit from services offered by Reperio and swisscovery a registration is needed.

To register for SLSP you will need a SWITCH edu-ID account.

  • If you already have a SWITCH edu-ID account, proceed to the registration platform
  • If you do not have a SWITCH edu-ID account yet, click on «Start registration» and then «Create account» on the registration page, or visit the SWITCH edu-ID website to create an account

Students, faculty and USI staff should begin by visiting www.desk.usi.ch to create a new SWITCH edu-id or check if the existing one is connected to USI.
From the registration page you can also add or edit library card numbers.

Registration is free for everyone.
