Copies and scans

Continuing its policy of conserving our documentary heritage, the library has made available two overhead scanners to replace the photocopier.

Reproductions of documents belonging to the library are only permitted using the scanners, and on   condition that the document was published after 1900.

Reproductions of documents dating from before the 20th century are carried out by the library staff.

Overhead scanner

The scanners:

  1. Zeutschel Zeta: scans up to A3 format, 300dpi, jpg and pdf formats (single or multi-page), with USB port for storage;

  2. Zeutschel Bookcopy: scans up to A2 format, 300dpi, tiff (single or multi-page), jpg and pdf (single or multi-page) formats, with USB port for storage;

  3. Book2Net Reprosystem: scans up to A1 format in very high resolution. This scanner can only be used by library staff at the request of the institution’s internal academic staff and assistants, after completion of the reproduction request form. Scans can be requested only in the event of proven necessity (scans of images for publications etc.).

Photocopiers

The library has made a photocopier available to users for copying personal documents and daily and weekly newspapers that are freely available for consultation. It is strictly prohibited to use this equipment for copying books or periodicals belonging to the library.

Affiliates of the Academy can use their personal badge to make photocopies. External users should go to the loans desk to ask for the appropriate card. At the end of the procedure, they will need to pay the amount due.
