Fonds and Special Collections
The Academy of Architecture Library’s collection has been continuously expanded through acquisitions and donations ever since it was first established in 1996.
Book collections and archives belonging to distinguished cultural personalities from Ticino and Europe have always played a significant role in the development of our institution, as a place of connection between countries in the North and South of Europe and of information exchange between technical and humanist cultures.
On this page we give a brief description of the principal personal collections, the archives and the book collections, along with some key data, including their size, characteristic topics or themes and their history. All the collections are conserved and available for consultation using the methods described in the relevant regulations. For each fonds, we specify how to access the tools for consulting the collection.
